Target Just Launched a New Brand of Swimsuits for 2019—All Under $45

Even if my closet is stocked with bathing suits of summers past, I’ll still faithfully scout out new ones. Blame it on my love of shopping, or the urge to add fresh selfies to my Instagram feed, but there’s something irresistible about finding a cute bathing suit that also fits properly—especially when you have a large bust. I’ve had more than one faux pas trying to force my curves and boobs into bathing suits, so the more options, the better.

Lucky for me—and really, everyone—Target just launched Kona Sol, a new in-house brand of swimsuits ranging from sizes XS to XXL, with select plus-size items available in 14W to 26W. “We know the search for the perfect swimsuit can be daunting,” says Mark Tritton, executive vice president and chief merchandising officer at Target. “Our goal is to make shopping for swimwear fun, easy and inspiring.” In a press release Target says the new line is “designed for women who are thinking as much about style as they are about comfort, confidence, and fit in a range of sizes.”

If you’re worried about accidentally losing your bikini top in the ocean (it happens), or struggling to keep the girls locked and loaded (which also happens), Kona Sol has incorporated a number of “stay put” features to help you feel secure in your swimwear, including hooks and fasteners, elastics, and built-in bras. Prices range from $18 to $45, with individual pieces sold separately.
